ELECTION INFORMATION

The City of Bridge City will hold its next General Election on May 2, 2026.  The races will be for the positions of Mayor and Council Members for Place 2, Place 4 and Place 6.

The election of the Council Members shall be elected by the City at large and by Place.  The Mayor shall be elected by the City at large.

Filing for a place on the ballot is set by state statute and will run from January 14, 2026 to February 13, 2026.  Additional election information can be found at https://www.sos.state.tx.us/elections/candidates/guide/2020/index.shtml, and also the City of Bridge City Charter Article 3 (Section 3.02, CHARTER QUALIFICATIONS - The Mayor and Council Members shall be a resident citizen of the City of Bridge City, at least twenty-one (21) years of age, and a qualified voter of the State of Texas; and shall have been a resident of the City of Bridge City for a period of not less than twelve (12) months immediately preceding the election, and shall not be in arrears in any liabilities due the City.

EARLY VOTING POLLING LOCATIONS: (Polling places are subject to change)

Early voting by personal appearance will be conducted on Tuesday, April 20, 2026 through Tuesday, April 24, 2026 from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday, April 27, 2026 and Tuesday, April 28, 2026 from 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.at the following locations:
