Moving Out of Town?

If you are moving out of the City of Bridge City, please complete the TRANSFER OR DISCONNECT SERVICES form to tell us when you want to discontinue service at your address and furnish a forwarding address. The security deposit will be credited to your final bill. If there is a remaining balance due, you will receive a final billing. If there is a credit balance, you will receive a final billing and a check from the City of Bridge City.

Service can be disconnected on workdays only between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Before deciding on a disconnect date to cut off the meter, if you plan to do any cleaning, you may want to schedule the termination of service for a couple of days later.

You may come in person to disconnect services or email the required form to ub@bridgecitytex.com.  Please be sure to call (409) 735-6801 to verify receipt. Please include a copy of your valid state issued identification.  In extenuating circumstances, if you may be able to disconnect services over the telephone.  Information to verify your identity will be required.  

DISCONNECT NOTICES CANNOT BE PROCESSED MORE THAN TWO (2) WEEKS IN ADVANCE.
